I found Doneraile a very happy, caring home, with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty going on with entertainment. Auntie was very happy and contented and made many friends. I would recommend it to anyone.

Doneraile Residential Care Home provides an outstanding service, principally because of the care, energy, imagination and devotion of staff to their tasks. They interact beautifully and appropriately with residents. They encourage and enable a warm atmosphere with maximum possible interaction with residents. They engage openly and positively with residents and relatives. We noticed the happy atmosphere immediately and trusted their care of my mother.
Testimonial from: Christopher B (Son of resident) on 15th November 2017
The care my Gran received during her years at Doneraile was fantastic, especially so during her last couple of days. The care they showed not only to her but their support to me was wonderful and will never be forgotten. I would highly reccommend this home to anyone that asked.

Testimonial from: Shirley C (Daughter of resident) on 24th November 2016
Always a warm welcome whenever we visited day or night, personal care was beyond that of a care home, I cannot say how much I have been amazed at the dedication ''beyond the call of duty'' that my father received in his last days. Staff and management were wonderful, what more can one say.
Testimonial from: B W (Son of resident) on 24th October 2016
I would gladly recommend Doneraile Care Home to anyone looking for good quality care provision. We were always made very welcome by the staff and my mother was very happy with the high standards. Mum was very happy there and enjoyed her room and the care provided. Towards the end the staff were always so helpful and considerate even gaining a smile and responses when I could not. A good team of carers who has residents to the forefront. Thank-you Doneraile for quality care.
Testimonial from: Paul C (Son of resident) on 16th November 2015

Testimonial from: SH (Daughter of resident) on 5th November 2015
The owner/manager and all the staff were wonderful to my dad and me during his stay with them. Dad commented on numerous occasions what a lovely hotel it was and could he stay a bit longer (he has Alzheimers). He was always clean and well fed. No hesitations in recommending this residential home to anyone.
Testimonial from: Davina T (Daughter of resident) on 12th October 2015
My Uncle was very happy at Doneraile, the care was excellent, he always enjoyed his food and would always say how lucky he was to be in such a nice home. At the end of my uncles life the staff could not do enough to help. The standard was higher than I would have expected.
Testimonial from: Roger C (Nephew of resident) on 1st June 2015
Very sadly, my dear Husband has just passed away very suddenly after living at Doneraile for two years. My consolation at this sad time is that, during the entire time he was at Doneraile, Mr & Mrs Jones and all the staff gave him wonderful care, kindness & respect. My Husband had family visitors every day, so we spent many many hours there where we always secured a wonderful welcome and we know that a wonderful atmosphere radiates at Doneraile. Thank you all.
Testimonial from: Barbara M (Wife of resident) on 14th May 2015
A good home with trustworthy staff who really cared for the people in their care. Mum was stubborn and outspoken but got to love the staff and look for the cuddles that she had.
Testimonial from: Robert B (Son of resident) on 2nd April 2015

Testimonial from: Jane B (Daughter-in-law of resident) on 1st April 2015
My father went to the care home initially for a weeks respite care, and then again as a permanent resident two weeks later. He was very happy there and very well looked after, in a lovely room. He got on very well with the other residents. We were also able to have many photographs displayed on the wall of his bedroom. We visited him on a weekly basis, and were always welcomed with tea and biscuits by the staff. We would highly recommend this home to anyone who asked us.
Testimonial from: Keith Butler (Son of resident) on 9th February 2015
My father has been a resident at Doneraile for many years. Throughout his time with Doneraile he has received superb care, giving him independence, ensured safety and piece of mind.
Testimonial from: Joanne Thomas (Daughter of resident) on 4th February 2015
This home has a loving atmosphere. The boss Karen and her staff are brilliant. The home is spotless. We go to 70 homes from Truro up to Culumpton, this home is top on our list.
Testimonial from: Pamela Carter (Friend of resident) on 15th December 2014
I visit regularly and have done for 8 years and I see how well my friend is cared for despite her bouts of 'being very difficult'!. The staff seem genuinely to feel care for the residents and are loving and considerate. They treat visitors kindly and are welcoming no matter what time I go in.
Testimonial from: Melanie Thorne (Friend of resident) on 22nd September 2014
I have been a resident at this home for many months and I have, at all times, found the care to be of the very highest quality. Mr and Mrs Jones and all the staff are, without exception very kind, helpful and caring. There is a lovely happy family atmosphere at Doneraile.
Testimonial from: Douglas M (Resident) on 4th August 2014
The home offers a very friendly, warm atmosphere. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. They engage well with residents, chatting and joking with them, which also creates a very homely environment. Staff address the needs of the residents and pass on any details the family should be aware of, and work closely with the family of residents. Residents are encouraged to be mobile and engage in activities, but their wishes are respected either way.
Testimonial from: Anne-Marie S (Daughter of resident) on 10th July 2014
My father would rather not be in a care home at all, but since needs must, Doneraile is the best place to be! It is a beautiful old house situated in a quiet and leafy part of town and he has a ground floor room with French windows onto a patio. The level of care he receives from Karen and her team is second to none. As a healthcare worker myself I recognise dedication when I see it! manners, politeness and respect matter to my dad, he is afforded it all here.
Testimonial from: Jude Braggins (Daughter of resident) on 25th June 2014
My mother was a resident at the above residential home for just over 2 years until she passed away in August 2013. During the period she was there the family found the quality of care was of a very high standard. All of the management and staff had a genuine concern for the welfare of all of the residents and were particularly compassionate towards my mother in the last few weeks of her life. I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending this home to any prospective residents looking for accommodation in the South Devon area.
Testimonial from: Ian McAlpine (Son of resident) on 10th June 2014
An extremely well run care home. The staff are lovely and caring with the residents and my own mother received first class care at the home until she died.
